What we collect. When you create an account we ask for your name, email address, mobile number, the city and country you live in, and your current immigration status in Canada. When you use the calculator we save the answers you enter and the scores they produce, so you can come back to them.
Why. To run the calculator, keep your saved results, and, if you agreed at sign-up, to contact you about your Express Entry options. We do not sell your information.
Mobile verification. To confirm your mobile number we send a one-time code by SMS through Google Firebase. Google receives your number to deliver the code and to protect the service from abuse. We keep only the number and the fact that it was verified.
Where it is kept. Data is stored on servers operated by our hosting provider and protected by access controls. Passwords are stored as salted hashes and are never readable by us.
Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a browser setting for light or dark mode. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your choices. You can ask us to correct or delete your account and everything saved with it by emailing the address on our site. We will act on requests within 30 days.
Retention. We keep your data while your account exists and for up to 12 months after it is closed, unless the law requires longer.
